About the Event
This 2-day workshop will be held over two consecutive Sundays and is suitable for beginners interested in learning sculpture, and 2d artists wishing to build their understanding of facial anatomy alike.
To be able to draw is an advantage, but the biggest prerequisite is; that you bring heart and be patient with yourself.
The volumes and forms that make up each unique facial feature will be explored, and each student will be using a plaster cast reference of one of Michelangelo's most famous sculptures, the Statue of David.
Each artist is encouraged to work at their own pace. After all it is the development of the skill in transferring observation from life to a sculpture that is the real objective of this course.
A list of materials and payment details will be emailed to each student upon enrolment.
Course reservations is confirmed by receipt of full payment in advance of the workshop dates with the deadline of 10th June.
Class numbers will be limited to 8 students.
